Almost every single article about weight loss and getting healthy informs readers to avoid drive through windows like the plague and that they need to carry out all of their own cooking. There’s some value to this. From time to time, though, you absolutely do not want to make an entire meal for your family or even just for yourself. Once in a while you just want to visit the drive through while you are on your way home and complete the day. There isn’t any reason that you shouldn’t be allowed to do this and not be tormented by shame about slipping on your diet. This is because a lot of the popular fast food restaurants out there are trying to “healthy up” their menus. Here is how to eat healthy and balanced when you reach the drive through.
Milk, juice and water will be the best choices for beverages. When you sip a large soft drink you are putting a whole bunch of empty calories to your day. Usually an individual helping of soft drinks is only eight ounces big. Those eight ounces tend to be at least 100 calories and around ten tablespoons of sugar. Most fast food soda sizes start at twenty ounces. Thirty ounces, however, is considerably more common. This means that just buying a soft drink will add cupfulls of sugar and thousands of empty calories to your diet program. It is much healthier to choose milk, juice or perhaps regular water.
Standard logic tells us that one positive way to get healthy and shed pounds is to drop the drive through and to remove fast food restaurants from your thoughts. While, for the most part, this is a good plan, if you make intelligent choices, there is no reason to feel guilty for visiting a drive through one or two times a month. Occasionally, allowing someone else cook dinner is just what you need. If you ultimately choose healthy items, the remorse usually associated with hitting the drive through shouldn’t be so bad.

Remove the middle section of the blender top so steam can escape (you may want to have a hand towel to hover over that area while blending to minimize any mess). Start on low and quickly work your way to purée setting for the soup. Pour into a clean bowl and repeat until all soup is puréed.
