- Prepare for Dhoka–
- Get 2 cups Cholar Dal(Bengal Gram)-
- Use 1 Tsp Sugar-
- You need 1 pinch Asafoetida-
- You need 1/2 tsp Garam Masala-
- You need 1 tsp Cumin Powder-

- Prepare 4 Tbsp Mustard oil

- Get 2 pieces Bay leaves(Tej patta)
- Get 2 pieces Cardamoms
- Prepare 1 piece Cinnamon-
- Prepare 4-5 cloves

- You need 2-3 Tomatoes diced
- Provide 1 Onion ,Chopped
- Take 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- Take 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- Get 1 tbsp Onion Paste
- Prepare 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- Prepare 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- Take to taste Salt and Sugar
- Use 1 tsp Ghee

- For Dhoka Soak Cholar dal(bengal gram) in water overnight.Then strain water from it in the morning, and grind it.Add salt, sugar and water(if needed)
- Add 6tbsp oil in a pan and heat it and put the grinded dal in it.And stir it continously in high flame.Add salt and chilli powder in the paste.
- Then take a big round plate and grease with ghee and put the cooked paste in it and spread it.Now cut it with a knife in a rectangle shape(you can give any shape you want).
- Heat oil in a pan(deep fry) and fry the rectangles one by one.And keep aside ol once you are done.
- Then heat oil in a pan and put bay leaves, cumin seeds, cinnamon,cardamom, cloves it it.Stir a little.
- Now put chopped onions in it and fry till it changes it's colour to golden brown.Add garlic paste, onion paste, ginger paste and diced tomatoes.Stir it in medium flame.
- Add Salt,Sugar, turmeric powder, chilli powder,cumin powder in it.And stir it well.
- When the curry starts leaving oil put 2-3 cups water in it and cover it.When it starts boiling start putting Dhoka one by one very gently.
- Cover it for 5-7mins.After that open the lid and put 1tbsp of ghee and garam masala on the top and cover it again for few mins.
- And your Dhokar Dalna is ready. Spread some chopped coriander and it and then serve. Enjoy!!!….💟
