Before you jump to Julie’s Spicy Meatballs recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about Finding Nutritious Fast Food.

Almost every single article about reducing your weight and getting healthy informs readers to avoid drive through windows like the plague and that they need to carry out all of their own cooking. There’s some benefit to that. But at times the last thing you want to do is prepare a whole meal for yourself and your family. Once in a while you just want to visit the drive through while you are on your way home and finish the day. There isn’t any reason that you shouldn’t be allowed to do this and not be tormented by shame about slipping on your diet. You can do this because lots of the popular joints are now promoting “healthy” menu alternatives to keep their businesses up. Here is the way to eat healthy and balanced when you visit the drive through.

Pick out a drive through at a restaurant that’s known for catering to people with better palates. Arby’s as an example, isn’t going to serve burgers. You may have roast beef sandwiches, wraps and salads as an alternative. Wendy’s, of course, is known for its square burgers, nevertheless the menu there has a bundle of healthful choices like salad, potatoes and chili. Most fast food dining places will not stoop to the harmful lows seen at McDonalds.

Standard logic tells us that one certain way to get healthy and shed pounds is to drop the drive through and to remove fast food restaurants from your thoughts. While, for the most part, this is a good idea, if you make sensible choices, there is no reason to feel guilty for visiting a drive through one or two times a month. Once in a while, letting someone else cook dinner is just the thing you need. When you select wholesome menu items, you do not have to feel terrible about visiting the drive through.

  2. Prepare 1/2 sweet onion, finely chopped (food processor works nicely)
  3. Provide 1 hot pepper of choice, finely chopped. I used a long hot and left the seeds in, also chopped in the food processor
  4. Take 1 raw egg, for binding
  5. Take 1/2 cup Italian style breadcrumbs
  6. Use 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  7. Take 1/4-1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  8. Provide 4 basil leaves, chopped
  9. Take 1 TBS. dried parsley or a bunch of fresh chopped parsley
  10. Prepare to taste Salt,
  11. Take to taste Black pepper,
  12. Use 1/3 cup milk
  13. Take 2 TBS. flour, for coating meatballs
Instructions to make Julie’s Spicy Meatballs:
  1. Mix all ingredients together, except flour, and form into apx. 16 meatballs.
  2. Coat each meatball in flour by rolling it around on a plate. This wonderful cooking tip comes from Tony Danza’s meatball recipe! This prevents sticking while they fry.
  3. Brown the meatballs by frying in a pan for about 8-10 minutes, turning once. I prefer frying in bacon grease for added flavor, but any oil will do.
  4. Finish cooking meatballs in a pot of your favorite tomato sauce (homemade is best! See my recipe for homemade tomato sauce), simmering (covered) for at least one hour. The longer they simmer, the better they are!
  5. Serve with spaghetti or any other pasta, using the reserve of sauce for your pasta.
  6. Buon appetito! 🇮🇹
